The Rockhopper 3 printers are the successors of Mutoh's previous Rockhopper II printers. They offer a wide application versatility, i.a. outdoor posters & signs, banners, long-term backlit signage, building & construction announcements, vehicle graphics, durable indoor graphics, POS displays.
Apart from outdoor applications, Rockhopper 3 printers are also an excellent choice for durable photo-realistic prints for indoor use. Rockhopper 3 printers are tuned for the new 3rd generation Eco-Solvent inks, called Eco-Solvent Ultra. Eco-Solvent Ultra inks offer the same benefits as Eco-Solvent Plus inks, yet adding several enhancements, such as a higher colour gamut, faster drying time, improved ink fixation, improved scratch resistance, higher print speed on uncoated self-adhesive PVC and a wider media compatibility, i.a. compatible with uncoated materials, as well as coated materials and last, but not least, media with clay coated backing.
Moreover, Eco-Solvent Ultra prints are UV and water resistant for up to three years outdoors. The Rockhopper 3 printers exist in two models, namely 65" and 90" and incorporate four 360 nozzle piezo heads and 8 ink channels.
The machine comes standard with a newly designed unwinder / winder system for media rolls up to 100 kg. All Rockhopper 3 printers contain standard a 2 x 4 CMYK Eco-Solvent Ultra or a 6 + 2 (CMYK, Lc, Lm) Eco-Solvent Ultra ink set.
The Rockhopper 3 printers are the ideal solution for starting and established small to mid range sign shops, printing volumes ranging from 500 to 3000 m² a year.
