Epson Announce 64" Inkjet Printer

The Epson 11880 is the first ever 64 inch large format printer from Epson.

The Stylus Pro 11880 features Epson’s UltraChrome K3 ink with Vivid Magenta, Micro Piezo TFP printhead, Gigabit Ethernet and Super Halftone technology, a new screening algorithm.

Early indications illustrate that approximately 30 sqm per hour can be achieved, and the Pro 11880 comes configured with nine 700ml ink cartridges, which switch automatically between photo and matt black inks.

Typically problematic spot colours such as Rhodamine Red & Reflex Blue can, according to Epson, be achieved.

The Epson 11880 costs £9995 excluding VAT, and is available in September 2007.
