Fastek Apprenticeship Scheme For Engineers

Fastek Graphic Services and Leeds College Of Technology (LCT) are to commence a partnership that aims to develop the next generation of prepress engineers for the West Yorkshire region with support from Print Yorkshire. Kevin Tarpey of Drighlington, Leeds, is the first young person to benefit from this new partnership. Fastek will develop Kevin to bolster the technical staff of the Leeds based prepress solutions supplier particularly with regards to growing revenue from the sales and servicing of Epson large format digital printers. As an Epson warranty provider with a regular flow of new installations the new apprentice(s) will have plenty of opportunities to become highly skilled Engineers in this field.

The apprentice will be developed to become a key team member at Fastek and it is intended that he or she will receive tuition on how to install, maintain and troubleshoot prepress hardware & Ripsoftware. Established over 10years ago to provide specialist products and service to the prepress and graphic arts industry, Fastek are committed to making this new and exciting partnership work successfully for the benefit of the apprentice, the college and the long term future of Fastek.
